Here I Am To Worship

Light of the World
You stepped down into darkness
Opened my eyes
Let me see
Beauty that made this heart adore You
Hope of life spent with You

Here I am to worship
Here I am to bow down
Here I am to say that You're my God
You're altogether lovely
Altogether worthy
Altogether wonderful to me

King of all days
Oh so highly exalted
Glorious in heaven above
Humbly You came to the earth You created
All for love's sake became poor

I'll never know how much it cost
To see my sin upon that cross

Here's a little snippet for all of you to read and think about =)

THE WORD happiness evokes visions of unwrapping gifts on Christmas morning, strolling hand in hand with the one you love, being surprised on your birthday, responding with unbridled laughter to a comedian, or vacationing in an exotic locale. Everyone wants to be happy; we make chasing this elusive ideal a lifelong pursuit: spending money, collecting things, and searching for new experiences. But if happiness depends on our circumstances, what happens when the toys rust, loved ones die, health deteriorates, money is stolen, and the party’s over? Often happiness flees and despair sets in.

In contrast to happiness stands joy. Running deeper and stronger, joy is the quiet, confident assurance of God’s love and work in our life—that he will be there no matter what! Happiness depends on happenings, but joy depends on Christ.

Philippians is Paul’s joy letter. The church in that Macedonian city had been a great encouragement to Paul.

Heyooozzz!!! =)

My apologies for not posting for quite a while. I've been quite bogged down by school work of late. I have my very last presentation in school coming up tomorrow!

I hope that everyone has been doing well... and very importantly, you've been regularly spending time reading God's Word and praying too! If you haven't been this is an important reminder for you ya? heh =)

We're having Cell Bible Study again at 5pm this Saturday! Let's meet in church. Please download your copy of the material from the yahoogroup. If you're unable to access it, do let me know k?

Seeya all soon... God Bless!

Cyrus: As I flipped through the Bible, the word "good" seemed to always mean "in accordance to God's purpose and will".

I would believe that good is used in reference to creation. That is, as God says "saw that (it) was good" (Gen 1). It would refer how God wanted things to be, to how he created it. Not so much in the old testament, where it was used differently, but in the new testament, especially Paul's letters (where he said good things, good works, good will, good purposes ect).

Just my little thoughts on a good thing.

Food for Thought

James mentioned in an earlier post that many people in our generation need the gospel to be preached to them. Now, what is considered an adequate sharing? Is the mere knowledge of what Christianity is enough? How about those people who have been preached to, and who have refused to believe? Have they condemned themselves? Do we keep trying? Comments welcomed.

Pondering,
Cyrus

Quote of the Week

"Knowing the Bible is one thing. Knowing the Author is another!"

Its time to go beyond mere Bible reading...
