Cyrus: As I flipped through the Bible, the word "good" seemed to always mean "in accordance to God's purpose and will".I would believe that good is used in reference to creation. That is, as God says "saw that (it) was good" (Gen 1). It would refer how God wanted things to be, to how he created it. Not so much in the old testament, where it was used differently, but in the new testament, especially Paul's letters (where he said good things, good works, good will, good purposes ect).
Just my little thoughts on a good thing.
